    1. The car is sufficiently radical for street use.. 0-60 in 6.3, smokes all the BMW 3 series (except the M of course) and the Audi guys who think it's "just" an Integra... My car isn't a monster when it comes to taking off fast but on the highway it's nasty. To 135+. Fun.

    2. No reliability problems as of yet. 4000 miles on the blower. The pulley bracket was too big though (needed to shave it so the blower fit squarely under the intake manifold.) Everything else was OK.

    3. No regrets with the SC vs/ turbo. If I wanted to go that nuts, I would need to buy another car to drive around on a daily basis. I would also need gobs of cash. The blower lets me drive my car to work and smoke riceboys on the way home.

    4. Worth the money? No. I'd pay $1600 for what you get. But hey, it's all fun, right??
I love my SC... very happy with the RS/LS system... wish it had the M62 though...

Out of curiosity, can we use a bigger JRSC on the non-VTEC Teg? smile

    Unhappy

    Allow me to answer that.

I have the M62 JRSC on my LS (modified TypeR kit) with a 4" pulley to yield 6 psi.
Between the extra bits n pieces needed to support the bigger blower and an extra hour or two of fiddling by my installer, it ran about $450 more than had I just gone with the normal M45 kit.

The net results were dyno results that were practically identical to the M45 setup. Ouch. Apparently 6 psi is 6 psi, even if it from a bigger blower spinning slower. This was with bone stock header/cat/exhaust.

Im getting a full 2.5" exhaust setup soon to get some more response out of it, and hopefully get me to the 170-180 whp neighborhood. I dont think 200 whp is possible with the 6 psi/M62 setup on an LS because of the 6700 rpm redline.

Hmmm, cool biggrin -- did you get a aftermarket shop to do the install? Also, have you thought about increasing the boost since its a bigger blower?

I would think the ls/vtec swap w/ a m62 w/ a rev limit of 8k would net you a bigger gain then just the blower it self. Only problem would be $$ but if that isn't a problem.. Go for it! I would be very interested in seeing the results!

    Man GSREV,

I'm already crank through the possibilities smile Unfortunately, $$ is a problem biggrin Oh well, one step at a time...

Ok, I've had the blower on since April. It was a huge difference. It felt like a totally different car. I have a best of 15.08@90mph on a stock clutch with 74k miles. I can't recall all the kills, but I've hit 130 MPH with ease, stayed with a mustang cobra until 60 mph, and suprised the hell out of many GSR owners. My car is much more fun to drive than my roommate's stock 2k GSR, even though he is only about .5 seconds slower in the 1/4 and 0-60. I choose JRSC because of reliability, and yes, it was worth the money. If I wanted the power of turbo, I would have bought a different car.

That being said, my car is currently for sale smile
